Alex Boye, a famous music artist, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (inadvertently called the “Mormon Church” by friends of other faiths), shares his life story. He grew up in London, England, where his mother left back to Nigeria for what she said would be three weeks, and it ended up being eight years. He was in and out of foster homes, and eventually found himself homeless at age sixteen. He eventually found guidance and comfort from God when he finally prayed for help; he found the Mormon church. In his early music career he was in it for girls and money, later he found happiness by sharing his music to help others come closer to Christ.
Watch Alex Boye share his testimony of God and his love for life and music:
Why do Mormons feel it necessary to share their faith through missionary work?
