Mitt Romney (Mormon), is a Harvard-educated man marked by a distinguished business career in the private sector and tenure as influential public servant and political leader, who made a momentous decision to run for the office of President of the United States. Mitt comes to the global stage tenaciously. Romney has received a great deal of media attention--and, in fact, undue criticism--for his deeply-held Christian religious beliefs, raised in the context of his candidacy for national office. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, frequently misnamed the "Mormon Church." Its constituents, Latter-day Saints, are often nicknamed "Mormons"--hence, the media's simplified references to "Mitt Romney, Mormon," or "Mitt's Mormonism."

This website is dedicated to giving an accurate picture of Mitt Romney as a person, as a Mormon, and as presidential candidate in 2012. It is not designed to influence readers' political opinions, but is designed with the hope of giving readers a correct representation of the facts, so they can make their own informed decisions. We welcome you and hope you gain here a better understanding of what Mormons believe and how Mitt Romney's Mormon beliefs influence or do not influence his political views and capabilities.
